LOGIX announces new products

Wichita, KS.  In a major mid-season announcement, LOGIXT Insulated Concrete Forms has announced the launch of several new products and product enhancements. The LOGIX 45 Degree Corner form line (4" and 6") has been totally redesigned based on customer feedback, and an 8² Tapered Top form unit has been released. All products are available from all LOGIX shipping locations nationwide.

"As well as launching 3 new form units this month, we're happy to announce that we have put a national distribution arrangement in place with a key waterproofing supplier," said Chris Earl, Vice President of Marketing. "These developments go a long way toward supporting our mission of being the most builder friendly ICF product line on the market."

A LOGIX distributor at a pre-season company meeting first suggested modifications to the 45 Degree Corner forms. "This feedback was so good that the only thing to do was to implement it right away," says Earl. "No manufacturer likes to make tooling changes in mid-season, but we really felt that these changes would benefit the builder in the field by creating an automatic 16" offset at 45 degree corners. This greatly strengthens the corner and eliminates any movement when concrete is being placed. The result is a faster, more accurate, more profitable build."

LOGIX has also expanded its Tapered Top form unit line to include an 8" form. This allows a wider bearing surface at the top of a LOGIX wall to permit a wider variety of wall, floor, and roof connections.

The company also announced that's it's long awaited 10" cavity product line is scheduled to launch late in 2003 in time for the 2004 building season. "We had truly hoped to get our 10² product to the market this summer, but we have been experiencing overall demand for our products that has surpassed our greatest expectations," explains Earl. "We decided to refocus the bulk of our efforts so far this year on improving our current product line and supporting the many LOGIX installations going on nationwide."

In related news, LOGIX announced that they have chosen Armtec Limited's PLATON FOUNDATION PROTECTOR as their preferred air gap waterproofing, and will be making PLATON available through their national distribution network.
