American PolySteel, Building a Better World in China
(Press Release)
(Albuquerque, New Mexico, March 2003) - After 25 years of developing, manufacturing, and distributing superior, energy efficient building materials, American PolySteel is moving to China. Recently, builders in Shanghai, China have agreed to use the building material manufactured by American PolySteel. A 3 phase subdivision located in near the heart of Shanghai, which will consist of 150 homes, will begin using insulated concrete forms manufactured by American PolySteel.
This is a significant development in the distribution of PolySteel's product. Soon, homeowners in China will become familiar with this superior, energy efficient building material. Homes built with PolySteel Forms are more comfortable, quiet, stronger and more energy efficient than homes built with conventional construction. Residents of Shanghai, China are familiar with concrete homes. Until now, insulation has not been included in the construction of their homes. They are familiar with the strength and fire resistance that concrete homes provide. Now they will have the superior protection with the added comfort of insulation values that rate as high as R-50.
The subdivision that will be using PolySteel forms is called Shanghai Long Island Villa and is located 15 minutes from City Center. It is located adjacent to several golf courses and boat docks. The homes will range from 3500-4000 square feet and will be offered in several different luxurious floor plans. Construction of the homes will begin May, 2003.
Because the population in Shanghai, China is close to 20 million, American PolySteel feels this new agreement will only improve and grow the existing distributor network. Those anticipating the construction of these new Shanghai PolySteel homes are aware of the benefits that will be available. Energy savings, material savings, green construction, and a shorter build time are several benefits that homeowners, builders and city officials all see as an improvement in the local building techniques.
With the anticipated success of this new building venture, American PolySteel expects to see more projects like Shanghai Long Island Villa. People around the world will become more familiar with PolySteel and insulated concrete homes. This building material is superior in many ways to conventional construction, and seeing more communities embrace this technology will lead to more efficient, affordable, and comfortable homes world wide.
Headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, American PolySteel has been manufacturing superior insulating concrete forms since 1978.
