LEDGE FORM EXPANDS
REWARD'S PRODUCT LINE AGAIN
(Press Release)
Reward Wall Systems, Inc. has added a new ledge form to their product line. The ledge form is available in 11" and 13" exterior widths and is compatible with the company's versatile iFormT insulating concrete forms
(ICFs).
Specs:
- 16" high by 48" long
- 4 ½" extension at the top of the form
- Outer edge molded rebar seat
- Reversible form configuration
- Designed for easy integration into iForm
wall
The new form could be called an "all-around" ledge form, because in addition to serving as a ledge for the application of brick and stone exterior finishes, the form can serve many other functions, such as supporting slabs, floors, and in some cases, roofs. |

When used as a brick ledge, the form
is placed with the 4 ½" ledge facing out at ground level. In this way it may be used any time brick, stone or similar exterior finishes are applied, and it eliminates the need to fabricate a brick ledge on the job site. Because it is factory formed, it provides quick, easy stacking, accurate rebar placement and an accurate brick or stone bearing support.
By placing the ledge form with the extension facing toward the inside of the building, it becomes a floor joist support when a sill plate is anchored to the ledge. In similar fashion, the ledge can be used to support roof joists when it is placed at the top of the wall with the ledge facing in. The ledge form also can be used to support a floor slab on grade as well as porch slabs.
Chief Operating Officer Hank Pfeiffer, who was heavily involved in the design and development of the ledge form feels it is just one of many enhancements to Reward's product line. "Reward continues to expand its product line to include additional types of forms that further improve building with Reward ICFs," he said and added, "While some people still prefer to fabricate brick ledges on site, many in the ICF market find the ledge form to be helpful in construction."
